🚘 COSMAS MADUKA SAYS HE’D BE WORTH $5 BILLION IF COSCHARIS WERE PUBLICLY LISTED

Nigerian business icon Cosmas Maduka, founder of the Coscharis Group, says his company could place his personal worth at $5 billion if it were listed on the stock exchange.

For many Nigerians who grew up in the 2000s and 2010s, Coscharis Motors symbolized success. Their showrooms — filled with BMWs, Jaguars, and Fords — became a sign that you had “arrived.”

Born in Nnewi, Anambra State, Maduka lost his father early and began hawking on the streets at just 6 years old. After being sent away from his uncle’s workshop as a teenager with only ₦200, he began building his own future.

In 1977, he founded Coscharis Motors — combining his name with that of his late wife, Charity. The business hit a major breakthrough in 1982 when Coscharis became one of the few companies granted a government import license, opening doors to global automotive partnerships.

Today, Coscharis represents leading brands like Ford, Jaguar, and BMW. The group has also diversified into agriculture, technology, healthcare, petrochemicals, and consumer goods.

Maduka has faced setbacks. He once lost $200 million to a bad loan, forcing him to sell assets. But he rebuilt, expanding the group into over 10 countries, including Japan.

In 2024, Coscharis Technologies announced a $4 billion renewable energy project to support Nigeria’s transition to clean power.

Despite wealth estimates placing him below $500 million, Maduka believes his success goes far beyond numbers. His story reflects resilience, innovation, and strong values.

From street hawker to global businessman — Cosmas Maduka is proof that knowledge, persistence, and vision can rewrite destiny. #news #Featured #entertainment #Newsletter #politics #CelebrityNews
